On Tuesday, 20 January 2026, at approximately 1:00 p.m., under the direction of Mr. Bhumivisan Kasemsook, Secretary-General of the PACC; Mr. Akkchai Kasemsuthawat, Deputy Secretary-General of the PACC; and Pol.Lt.Col. Siripong Sritula, Deputy Secretary-General of the PACC, Ms. Oranij Sukabal, Director of the Corruption Suppression in Public Sector Division 2, together with relevant officials, was assigned to participate in a consultation meeting with Mr. Weerapong Rittirod, Governor of Lopburi Province, and Mr. Pratchaya Pepatang, Deputy Governor of Lopburi Province. The meeting was also attended by the Director of the Lopburi Provincial Office of Buddhism, the Lopburi Provincial Treasury Officer, the Lopburi Provincial Public Health Officer, the Director of the Provincial Office of Social Development and Human Security, the Lopburi Provincial Land Officer, and the Deputy Mayor of Khao Sam Yot Municipality.
Pursuant to the Prime Minister’s Office Order No. 222/2025 dated 22 July 2025, the Secretary-General of the PACC was appointed as a member of the Committee for the Prevention and Suppression of Threats and the Strengthening of Security in Buddhism. Following the consultation, Lopburi Province established preparedness measures and operational guidelines, prioritized urgent patient care, particularly the standardized treatment and care of HIV-infected patients under the supervision of public health authorities in collaboration with the Khao Sam Yot Subdistrict Municipality. The issue of monkey food shortages was initially addressed by the municipality, with further action assigned to the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation.
The sustainable approach to the rehabilitation of Wat Phra Bat Nam Phu was to elevate the temple to a standardized welfare and rehabilitation center for HIV patients in accordance with legal requirements. In addition, emphasis was placed on ensuring transparent and accountable management of the temple and donated funds, in order to strengthen public confidence in Buddhism, so that Buddhism continued to serve as a spiritual refuge and a guiding principle in the lives of the Thai people.
