On 23 June 2026 at 9:00 a.m., Mr. Bhumivisan Kasemsook, Secretary-General of the Office of the Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC), presided over the opening ceremony “The International Anti-Corruption Capacity Building Program through the Academic Cooperation between PACC and International organizations (Batch 2)”

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives from the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Thailand, the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, the Fire Services Department of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, as well as executives and officials from the PACC and representatives from partner agencies. The training programme is being held from 23 to 25 June 2026 at the Montien Hotel Surawong Bangkok.

The programme is organized as part of the academic cooperation between the PACC, the ICAC, and international partner organizations, with the objective of enhancing the knowledge, skills, and practical experience of anti-corruption practitioners in the areas of investigation and anti-corruption enforcement. Participants will benefit from lectures and knowledge-sharing sessions delivered by experts from the ICAC and relevant international organizations on a range of key topics, including the anti-corruption landscape and legal framework of corruption law in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, corruption investigations, the use of artificial intelligence in investigations, combating corruption-related financial crimes, case analysis, and the application of technology in anti-corruption work.

In addition, participants will gain insights into international best practices concerning checks-and-balances mechanisms, the enhancement of transparency and accountability through digitalization, and international cooperation in addressing transnational corruption cases. These topics will be delivered with contributions from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).

The programme is expected to strengthen the capacity of anti-corruption personnel to effectively address increasingly sophisticated forms of corruption, while also fostering stronger networks of cooperation in anti-corruption efforts at both the national and international levels.
